Ocean Jasper is only found in 1 place in the entire world - Madagascar.
It is also referred to as Orbicular Jasper.
It is extremely hard to source due to being so hard to find.
The original vein was mined out in 2006. It is found in the Analalava district of the Sofia region in the former province of Mahajanga.
There are two different deposits - Moravato and Kabamby.
Moravato has a total of 8 veins , some of which are no longer mined and the pieces from these claims are more of a Orb pattern.
The Kabamby claim is mined more today and produces more wavy banded pieces than the orb variety of the previous veins.
You will receive 1 piece chosen at random - no cherry picking. The colour and blend will vary , photos are examples of stock held and may not feature the piece you will receive.
