What is Abalone Shell?

Abalone shell is a beautiful piece it is also known as Paua shell. My Abalone shell is of New Zealand origin (but it can be found in other places). The natural swirls of the New Zealand Abalone shell create individual patterns, making each piece unique. I feel they resemble a abstract painting in many ways. They look and feel magical.

Often referred to as the sea Opal due to its opalescent blues, also rich greens & fiery pink & purple flashes.

Abalone shell sourced in New Zealand is a Maori tradition. Abalone shell is deemed as a good luck positive shell and makes the perfect gift for occasions such as Weddings, Valentines Day, Mothers Day, Birthdays and Christmas.

I use Abalone shell for necklaces, earrings and keyrings

The native Americans first started using them with Sage to perform cleansing of negative energy.

This Abalone shell is sustainably and ethically sourced.
